For 2011, the Silverado HD line gets several updates, including greater towing and payload capacities as well as an all-new chassis. A new front bumper and grille have also been fitted. New 18- and 20-inch wheels are available on single rear wheel models. The base 6.0L V8 returns largely unchanged, while the 6.6L Duramax diesel now delivers 397 horsepower and an impressive 765 pound-feet of torque. 3500 models are rated to tow up to 20,000 pounds and have a payload capacity of just over 6,300 pounds–all while delivering an 11 percent increase in fuel efficiency. Both the 2500 and 3500 are still available in a multitude of configurations to suit every work or play application imaginable.
