Toyota 300 Series Landcruiser 3800kg GVM Upgrade (OEM#51680)

This kit can be fitted to pre-licenced vehicles under the federal second stage manufacture (SSM) system or licenced vehicles under the state-based type approval (TA) system.

Once this kit has been fitted to your Landcruiser, it actually changes the vehicle category from MC to NB1.  This requires fitting of category 6 side indicators and a reverse lamp, supplied with the kit.

Each GVM suspension upgrade is issued with a SVI (Secure Vehicle Identification) sticker for SSM or a vehicle compliance plate for TA, fitted next to the OEM compliance plate, stating vehicle particulars and approval number.

SSM modification and fixing of the SVI sticker must be done prior to any other modifications and must be done prior to the vehicle being licensed.

For licenced vehicles, the GVM certification process varies depending on state or territory. The vehicle may need to be inspected by an authorised Automotive Engineer to comply with that state or territory’s GVM compliance requirements.

Variants of the Toyota Landcruiser 300 series covered by this upgrade are: GX, GXL, VX, Sahara. (Sahara ZX & GR Sport variants are currently excluded)

This kit requires the supplied lighting kit (which includes Category 6 side indicators and reversing lamp) to be fitted to the vehicle before it is presented for licensing.

WCS GVM upgrades only increase the Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM).  They do NOT increase the Gross Combined Mass (GCM) or Braked Towing Capacity (BTC).

Please be aware that these kits must be fitted by a WCS approved fitter/manufacturing facility.
